Checkmate Your Anxiety

Close your eyes and imagine the best version of you possible. That’s who you really are. Let go of any part of you that doesn’t believe it.
— C. Assaad

An estimated 52 million people in the United States are diagnosed with an anxiety disorder according to the National Institute on Mental Health.

Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek therapy and the majority who seek treatment have significant improvement in symptom relief and management.

women are twice as likely to suffer from anxiety than men.

Many experts believe that the hormonal changes in the body, cultural gender norms and societal expectations can contribute to the higher incidence in females.

How do you experience your anxiety? Does any of this sound familiar…? You are well-put together and are a bit of a perfectionist. You’re known for setting a high bar for yourself. Everyone thinks you have it all together and they look to you to get things done, with grace, and a smile. Yet, inside you are ‘white knuckling’ it through chronic anxiety attacks, feeling out of control and miserable. You are sick and tired of the mental, emotional, and physiological discomfort and distress that comes with anxiety.

You’re taking steps to help yourself because you value yourself (or you want to). You know life could be better. You long to be able to manage the noise inside your head, to be more in control of your emotions, and experience some of that inner peace that yogis talk about. You are not alone.

I’m not a yogi, but I can help.

I help women get out of their cycles of anxiety and create a new normal. Reacting isn’t serving you. Proactively, you can anticipate that old cycle, have coping strategies in place to deal with whatever comes up, and create a new way of being in and with yourself - and the world.

We meet where you are on your path. As a therapist, I am a positive, empathetic, non-judgmental, safe relationship and resource to actively listen, counsel, guide, teach, and encourage your personal growth. Together we can strengthen your existing coping skills, understand, work through, and gain new tools to effectively address negative internal spin-outs, excessive worry, and/or panic attacks.

Change is possible.

You can begin shifting your state of being from frazzled to calm and move from chaos to peace in your life. Therapy is a powerful tool to help you make the changes you want to see in yourself and your life. I would be honored to work together with you on a solutions-based approach for your healing journey. Please contact me to set up an appointment for your free 15-minute consultation.

Clients often say that therapy with me helped them to feel a deeper connection to themselves and a renewed sense of optimism. Many clients report feeling more relaxed and self-confident with tools that work for them to manage mental and emotional tension.
